The All Progressives Congress (APC) Bello/Onoja Campaign Council in Lokoja Local Government has applauded the endorsement of the party’s candidate, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the November 16 2019 governorship election by non-indigenes in the state.

Director General of the campaign council for Lokoja LGA, Hon Jimoh – Fancy Tiamiyu gave the commendation in a press statement signed by the Local Government Chairman on Media and Publicity, Yabagi Mohammed which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja.

The statement quoted the Director General to have described the endorsement as a plus and testament to the positively impacting policies of the administration since its assumption of office about four years ago.

According to the statement, Hon Jimoh-Fancy stressed that the reward for good governance, inclusion, protection of lives and property of non – local business owners and employment of some of them into government was responsible.

To the DG, the document noted, if for the first time a Governor of Kogi State could think of creating the office of an aide that would be in charge of the affairs of the non – indigenes, then there is no reason they should not back his return for another term.

He noted that Governor Bello has shown himself to not only be progressive but peace loving and accommodating, coupled with determination to see beyond ethnicity and religion, but rather capacity to have positive impact on Kogi State.

Hon Fancy-Jimoh, who said many societies have moved forward because of their deliberate search for and involvement of quality ideas, praised Governor Bello for involving friends of the state who are not indigenes and giving them sense of belonging.

He said since majority of the non – indigenes who endorsed the Governor today were business owners and interests resident in Lokoja the state capital, it has boosted the party’s chances, restating the earlier promise of the campaign council under him to deliver overwhelming votes for the APC on November 16 in Lokoja Local Government Area.
