Emmanuel Ahmadu: Kogi-born UNIBEN Student Bags Multiple International, National Award Nominations

University Of Benin final year student and the national award recipient of Most Popular Student In Nigeria 2017, Emmanuel Oluwasayomi Ahmadu popularly known with the personality brand “Mr Voiceover” is a multi-talented Voice-Over Artiste, Brand Ambassador, upcoming Nollywood Actor, On-Air Personality, Writer, Life Coach, Event Planner, Entrepreneur and a Humanitarian.

Mr. Emmanuel Ahmadu’s passionate pursuit geared towards making a lasting impact in his chosen career has got him many nominations and many winnings on many campus  awards, national awards and including the recent double international award nominations. He was a national nominee for Most Enterprising Student In Nigeria on the Nigeria Campus Choice Awards 2017, followed by a campus nomination for Most Enterprising Student In the University Of Benin on The Gong Campus Awards 2018. He further got nominated in two-category national awards for •Entrepreneur Of The Year and •OAP Of The Year in Nigeria Campuses on the Nigeria Hype Awards 2018.

Recently, he got nominated in another double national award for •Most Innovative Student In Nigeria Campuses and for •Student Media Personality Of The Year (South/South) in the ongoing voting process on the •Prestige •Anchor •Leadership •Empowerment and •Capacity Building Awards 2018.

And  most recently, Emmanuel’s zeal towards contributing immensely to the society as a student gave birth to the student ‘s Non Government Organization (NGO) named Mr Voiceover Mentorship Initiative. The Student NGO has a mission of impacting the lives of the physically challenged, orphans and the internally displaced(IDPs) as well as empowering the students and the unemployed  youths by creating avenues for them to get trained in their various choice of skills and talents leading to sustainable assets needed to tackle unemployment menace in Nigeria.

He started the organization with other students while he was in 300 level in the University and so far, the organization have recorded tremendous progress in its impact on mankind in the society. The current double international award nominations are indeed proofs of success and a motivation to do more for him. The West Africa Citizens Awards 2018 recognized the MR VOICEOVER MENTOTSHIP INITIATIVE as •Organization Making A Difference In West Africa and the MR VOICEOVER brand is recognized as •Student Brand Of The Year respectively.

Inspite of the International Award recognition coming at this time, Mr Voiceover and team said they have been working intensely in organising an upcoming free INTENSIVE TALENT TRAINING AND CAREER SYMPOSIUM for the University of Benin students, themed: Talent Discovery and Development: A Panacea To Unemployment Menace In Nigeria.

The Intensive Talent Training And Career Symposium will be an avenue for UNIBEN students to discover their talents and as well develop them into sustainable assets needed to tackle unemployment menace in Nigeria.

The initiative is also aimed at partnering with politicians, state government and national government agencies so as to extend this innovative project to their constituencies, senatorial districts & states. Their objective is to create a template for those in government to understand the dimensions of students empowerment and job creation for unemployed youths and graduates.

According to him, he said the event would witness the presence of the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, Senate members, House of Assembly Speaker, State Commissioners, UNIBEN VC- Professor Faraday Orunwense, students/youths empowerment agencies and other dignitaries around the state.

The event also seek to create avenue for veterans and celebrities in various talents & industries to advice the students on how to develop their talents towards the path of greatness, because students tends to adhere to the advice of celebrities they look up to.

These passionate and innovative team of students are using this medium to call the appropriate authorities and eminent individuals for financial support towards the success of the programme, as the event is scheduled to hold on 28th July, 2018 at the University of Benin, Ekewan Campus.
