Hon. Joseph Leke Abejide, the man representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the National Assembly was neither born great nor have greatness thrust upon him. He achieved greatness by dint of hard work and perseverance. His love for humanity is boundless. He knows the needs and desires of his people and he goes for them. He is always willing to proffer solutions to the problems of the people he represents.

The young beloved son of Yagbaland in his dynamism is charting a good course for his people inform of empowerments for the youth, widows and generality of his people. He has been paying WAEC fees for secondary schools’ graduating students, and he is reconstructing roads that should normally be done by governments.

Until Abejide’s needful help on the roads, the worse they become the better business opportunities for those that lay seige to attack travellers and kidnap them for ransom. We all thank Abejide for attending to our roads. By implication, he is putting some elements out of their unholy jobs. We will always celebrate Hon. Abejide.

Now his team is into capturing and data verification of WAEC candidates in his constituency. This is to verify the number of candidates- both in public and in private schools, which in turn will enable him know the actual amount payable to the examination body.

Bearing in mind the impact education has made on the Yoruba nation because of the foresight of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, will it be out of place to call Hon Abejide the Awolowo of Yagbaland? I think not. We want healthy competition by asking any one seeking for Yagba votes to take on the payment of the NECO fees of graduating students in Yagbaland.

This foundation is already laid and solid. We can only but charge anyone ready to build on it to watch the kind of materials he or she is going to use.

Yagba people, sit back and enjoy another December of bummer harvest of the dividends of democracy from the stable of Hon Leke Abejide.
