The Chairman of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has congratulated Muslims in Okene and beyond on the successful completion of ramadan fast and eid-fitr celebration.
He urged Muslim ummah to imbibe the lessons of the holy month of ramadan anchored on fear of Allah, tolerance, love for one another and complete abstinence from sins.
The Council chairman, in a sallah message through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Abdulmumin Abubakar, said the period of ramadan fast availed Muslims such a unique opportunities to pray for progress and development of Nigeria, especially the security challenges facing the nation.
He said, “Muslims were seen engaged in various act of worship and displayed tremendous love, tolerance, patient to one another and indeed care for the needy. Therefore, going forward such an outstanding and virtuous qualities being a panacea to peace and progress of a given society should be upheld even after the holy month of ramadan.”
The Chairman said local government has also inter-faced with security agencies to ensure maximum protection of lives and property during and after eid-fitr celebration. Hence, residents and visitors to Okene and it environs should go about their legitimate businesses without fear.
He wished muslims a successful sallah celebration.
