The 2027 African Democratic Congress (ADC) House of Assembly Candidate for Ijumu 1 Constituency, Comrade Oluade Gbenga Bright, has congratulated all the Muslim brothers and sisters in Gbede, Ijumu and across Kogi State on the celebration of this year’s Eid al-Kabir.
He described the occasion as a sacred festival of faith, sacrifice, love, obedience and commitment to Almighty Allah.
The ADC Candidate also called on the Muslim communities in the Constituency to use this period to pray for our dear state and the country.

Gbenga Bright noted that Eid al-Kabir remains one of the most significant celebrations in Islam, symbolising the virtues of selflessness, unity, compassion, tolerance and total submission to the will of God.
Bright stressed that patience, perseverance, sacrifice and collective responsibility are essential ingredients for building a stronger, more united, and prosperous society.
He urged the good people of Gbede district and Ijumu, particularly the Muslim Ummah, to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, national unity and harmony across ethnic, religious and political lines, adding that the Sallah celebration should further strengthen the bonds of love, understanding and brotherhood among citizens.
According to him, we have a task ahead to collectively build our Constituency and the nation, he called for continued peaceful coexistence.
The House Assembly candidate expressed strong confidence in the leadership of the ADC in Ijumu, from ward level to the state and the country at at large, as the party remains the only pro-masses party, poised to provide new ideas in the governance of our dear country come 2027 Insha Allah.
