Eid-el Fitri: Ogembe Urges Muslims to Sustain Prayers for Kogi, Nigeria

The senator representing Kogi Central senatorial district, Ahmed Ogembe has urged Muslims to sustain the prayers and supplications exhibited while the Ramadan fast lasted.
Ogembe, who gave the admonition while felicitating with Muslims on the successful completion of the mandatory fasting period, said there is the need for them to remain fervent in God.
He said for the nation to get back on her economy track, the place of prayers and supplication must be sustained while those saddled with practical responsibilities continue in their assignments.
“I urge Muslims to soak up themselves with the injunctions of our Prophet Muhammad (SWA), which teaches humility, gratitude and brotherly love toward one another.
“I want to appeal to our people not to relent in the prayers and supplication they have exhibited during the month of Ramadan.
“They must keep praying because prayers is the key and answer to our challenges, “he said.
The senator urged political office holders to be patriotic in the discharge of their duties by putting the nation’s interest above personal affairs.
He called on the people to extend helping hand to the indigent around them, saying it was part of the Ibadah of the fasting period.
He appealed for peaceful coexistence amongst the people of different, irrespective of their faith and religion, saying that development can only thrive in a peaceful environment.
