Kogi East Senatorial hopeful Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho felicitates with the Igala-Bassa Muslim ummah on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir festival, urging the ummah to draw great lessons and imbibe the spirit of sacrifice.
He made this declaration shortly before the Eid prayer.
He recounted the scriptural incidence of Prophet Abraham (AS) who nearly sacrificed his son in total obedience to Allah until the replacement with an animal and the sacrificial spirit of his son who neither argue with his father nor his Lord for the command.
“Islam and indeed humanity thrives on sacrifices & assistance. Different sacrifices were made by different people at different times for the life, comfort or pains we enjoy or endure today. As Muslims and brothers of each other, it is a celestial admonition that we render helping hands to the not-well-to-do and our neighbors irrespective of their religion to ease the pain and burden on them as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW)”.
He used the medium to seek for the support of the people in his quest to give them qualitative representation and a very loud voice at the National Assembly stating that he’s got the wherewithal to bring the government closer to the people and enjoy the dividends of democracy.
He stressed that as human; you can do anything as long as you have the passion, the drive, the focus, and the support. He prayed to Allah for the continued peace and progress permeating the land and enjoin all to be law abiding and enjoy the occasion responsibly.
