ECOMOG Greets Muslims at Ramadan; Advises on COVID-19 Preventive Measure

Hon Isah Abdulkarim (ECOMOG) has sent his greetings to Muslims in Kogi/Koton-Karfe local government area of Kogi State in particular and world over in general, as this year’s Ramadan fast begins.

According to a disclosure made available, Hon ECOMOG while congratulating Muslims as they commence this year’s Ramadan fast admonished self-denial, piety, serious prayers and helping hands to the needy.

ECOMOG who is the Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters of Kogi/Koton-Karfe Local Government Area of Kogi State describes this year’s fast as a test of faith as it coincides with the global pandemic, coronavirus which obtainable in virtually all countries of the globe stressing the need for all to maintain its preventive measures.

Furthermore, he urged citizens to avoid public places, by observing prayers modestly with only family members or at home.

He regretted that this year’s Ramadan period poses economic threat while expressing optimism that the well to do in the society shows love and charity, which he described as the teachings of Ramadan to those in need.

He advised Muslims to refrain from acts that are capable of invalidating fast, appealing that dedicated prayers be made for the discovery of a lasting cure to the coronavirus.

The SSA on Security Matters thereafter urged Muslims to endure the trials in good faith praying that all the blessings of the holy month reaches the entirety of humanity.
