If there is anything that has brought happiness and joy to the faces of Igala/Bassa nation and specifically the good people of Idah Federal Constituency where I come from, is having Alhaji Jibrin Isah (Echocho) and Hon. David Zacharias (Davido) as flag bearers of APC for the Senate and Federal House of Representatives respectively.
They both have unrivaled and unparalleled common features that put them ahead of every other contestants opposing them in their respective contests.
Their antecedents of positive impact on our people are very loud and in the open for everyone to see.
A mere call of the name Echocho, what rightly come to the minds of every Kogite is his good records in AfriBank where a lots of young Igala/Bassa children were employed.
After a thorough research, I have come to realized that Echocho’s goodwill for our people goes beyond AfriBank recruitment, he also gave scholarship to so many people. However and regrettably, for the two pretenders contesting against Alhaji Jibrin Isah, none can boast of any good record to their credit.
On the part of Honourable David Idris Zacharias, I need not say much here about him. But, it will be a disservice for me if I refuse to reflect briefly on some of his humanitarian services to the people.
Despite being a private entrepreneur, Davido as he is popularly called, via his Foundation impacted positively in wiping tears from the faces of the less privileged; the widows were catered for; orphans were given scholarship; dilapidated worship buildings like Mosques and Churches were renovated, and many more of his gestures yet to mention.
The verdict is very simple, there is no reward for good other than good.
Alhaji Jibrin Isah (Echocho) and David Idris Zacharias (Davido) have paid their dues for our people and as such deserves every bits of supports they are getting from our people.
Let this be a lesson to all our people in positions to help and are not doing so to have a rethink.
It is now time to reciprocate their gestures. Forward ever, backwards never.
