A youth group in Kogi central known as Ebira Youths for Development (Ebira Must Be Better), on Sunday described Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo is a unique person with a very large heart.
In a statement signed by the President, Abdullahi Hakeem, the group said Governor Ododo is a father and mentor to many.
The statement read: “Gov. Ododo is in a class of his own. He is magnanimous, compassionate, and an intelligent man who is worthy of emulation. A man who has given his all for the people. Nothing is too big for him to do for someone.
“He is a father and mentor to many. He has empowered many people who are now self-restraint. Many people have become educated because of his scholarship scheme. He is a man in whom many are very well pleased. In all the offices he has occupied, he distinguished himself.
“Gov. Ododo has achieved a lot in his short stay in office. His policies are people’s oriented, and it’s a plus for him as he recorded a great feat in civil service reform.
“He has achieved landmark achievements infrastructurally, as the state is wearing a new look, roads are been construction and bridging gap for environmental degradation.”
The group also commended Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto for her uncommon achievement.
“Over the years, Chief (Barr.) Ladi Ahmed Jatto OON has proven herself as a great woman with her zeal and enthusiasm in transformational strides and uncommon achievements. Through AcreSal, Kogi State has recorded huge success.
“Her charismatic disposition and leadership acumen have stood her out in the comity of global leadership.
“As the state coordinator of Kogi AcreSal, Barr. Ladi has changed the narrative by sprucing up the state. In particular, the ongoing gully reclamation and road construction across the 3 Senatorial Districts of Kogi State, which were more or less a death trap is now transforming to a smart city with roads and the landscape even as beautiful given those places an enchanting looks.
