The senator representing Kogi centralĀ Senatorial district, Ahmed Ogembe has called on Christians and people of other faith to imbibe the spirit of tolerance to ensure peaceful coexistence and a progressive society.
In his Easter message made available to news men on Saturday in Abuja, Ogembe rejoiced with Christians especially those of Kogi central senatorial district as they mark this year’s celebration of Easter.
He urged Christians to sustain the love for mankind which is the most instrument of peace as demonstrated by Jesus Christ in the holy Bible.
“On this Easter Sunday, I urge our Christian brethren to sustain the love and tolerance for each other, especially for people of other faith, and love one another irrespective of our beliefs, so as to make our society better.
“We shall continue to count on your support and prayers for greater peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in Ebira land, Kogi state and the entire country,” Ogembe added.
He advised all Kogi residents to live in peace and not be used as an instrument of destruction as the governorship election is coming soon in the state.
“Let us join hands together to build a better home and make the state a better place for both the citizens and non citizens of the State,” Ogembe said.
