The honorable member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims, has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of Easter in commemoration of their beliefs of crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Hon Halims, in his Easter message, enjoined Christians, irrespective of denomination to use the period of Easter to reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ and endeavour to emulate Christ in their everyday life.
The federal lawmaker advised Christian leaders to endeavour to preach more of love and sacrifice which he noted is the essence of Easter celebration during this time of COVID-19 pandemic in order to motivate their congregations toward showing love and kind gestures to the less privileged.
Halims called on Christians and non Christians alike to continually pray for the world and people already infected with the deadly coronavirus disease.
While wishing Christians a happy Easter celebration, Halims reminded them on the need to extend hands of fellowship to the needy and less privileged in the society especially as the COVID-19 lockdown affects the economy and nutrition of many households.
