The first runner-up in the recently conducted All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Kogi West senate seat, Dr. Muyi Aina, has re-assured youths of his commitment to ensure that are empowered.
Dr. Aina made thus known in Kabba during his ‘thank you’ visit to the ancient town.
The former senate aspirant, who was given a rousing welcome by youths in Kabba, counseled them to be law abiding.
He stated that despite the outcome of the primary election, he would continue to stand by them, adding that parts of his commitment to youths is employment and empowerment to get them off the street.
Dr. Aina pledged that he would continue to be the voice of the voiceless in the society.
While in Mopamuro local government, Dr. Muyi Aina commended his teaming supporters for their massive support before and during the Kogi West senatorial district APC primary election.
Accompanied by his campaign Director General, Mr. Gbenga Rotimi, the former aspirant said the visit was to fulfil his promise to be with his teaming supporters whether he wins or not, saying he sees them as members of his family.
While assuring that he would not neglect them no matter what, Dr. Aina said “never again will we allow anyone to suppress the voice of Kogi West masses.”
Various speakers at the visit described the decision to appreciate the support of the people as unusual in the politics of the state, saying Dr. Muyi Aina shown that he can be trusted with power.
