It is with a deeply heavy heart that I received the devastating news of the gruesome murder of Mr. Durowaye Folusho. This shocking act of violence is not only a painful loss to his immediate family but also to the entire people of Kiri and Bunu Land who knew him as a peace-loving, committed, and patriotic son of the soil.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the good people of Kiri Land. May the Almighty God grant you the strength to bear this irreparable loss and give eternal rest to the soul of our dearly departed brother.
This heinous act is a painful reminder of the growing insecurity in our land. I therefore call on the relevant security agencies and all tiers of government to please do more by adopting more proactive, intelligence-based, and community-driven strategies to safeguard the lives and property of our people. Our peace loving Bunu Land must not be allowed to become a soft target for criminal elements.
We owe it to Mr. Durowaye’s memory and the safety of our future generations to take a firm stand against these barbaric acts and ensure justice is served.
