The biography on the late business man, politician, community leader and philanthropist, and father of former Kogi First Lady, Hajiya Halima Ladi Wada, Late Adama Abawa was launched over the weekend.
The book written by famous journalist, public affairs analyst, renowned editor and former Managing Director, Kogi state newspaper corporation, publishers of Graphic Newspaper, Mr Donatus Okpe attracted dignitaries from all walks of life.
Abawa is the patriarch of former Kogi first lady, Hajiya Halima Ladi Wada (nee Abawa), with the presence former Kogi Governor, Capt Idris Wada, the husband and former Commissioner for Works and Housing, Dr. Abu Adama Abawa among his notable children.
The book titled “Rising Above Storm” is a story of a struggling teenager who lost all his siblings and parents at toddler age, yet navigate through the thick and tin of life.
The book further stated that in spite all the challenges of life, Abawa rose above the natural and artificial phenomenon to educate his children, siblings and extraction into enviable heights.
While reviewing the book, a former Director General, National Broadcasting Commission NBC, Professor Armstrong idachaba advised the young ones in the current digital age to imbibe the sterling legacies of the late patriarch, by turning such life threatening challenges to opportunities as demonstrated by the late sage.
