D’mandate Group 4 Ododo, a non-partisan group promoting the candidacy of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for November 11 Governorship election in Kogi State, has successfully hosted a town hall meeting aimed to advance its course.
The event which took place at Temmy Multipurpose Hall, Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area, Kogi State on Saturday, August 26, 2023, featured among others, a free medical outreach and distribution of food materials to participants.
The event was focused on raising awareness for Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman’s candidacy for the position of Kogi State Governor, according to Mr Odebola Julius Odeyemi, who represented the founder of the D’MANDATE GROUP, Engr Faramade Oniya.
Addressing the electorate in Yagba West LGS during the town hall meeting, Odebola said the event marked the beginning of the campaign for Ododo/Oyibo gubernatorial quest in Yagba West.
According to him, D’MANDATE GROUP, though did not belong to a political party, aims to serve humanity and promote good governance.
“We believe Alhaji Usman Ododo is the right choice for the next governor of Kogi State due to his qualifications and commitment to service. Hence, our group’s decision to support his candidacy is to bring renewed hope and effective governance to Yagba West and Kogi State as a whole”, he said.
The group announced the launch of “D’MANDATE FOOD FOR STRENGTH” and “D’MANDATE FREE HEALTH OUTREACH” programmes for the people’s benefit. The speech concluded with a call to support Ododo/Oyinbo joint ticket of the APC in the upcoming election on November 11th, 2023.
MEDICAL OUTREACH
A key highlight of the event was the free medical outreach that was conducted for participants. A team of medical professionals provided basic medical check-ups, consultations, and distributed essential medications to the beneficiaries. The initiative was to demonstrate the commitment of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman’s administration to improving healthcare accessibility to Kogi people, if elected.
