Deputy Governor Breaks Fast With Muslim Faithful, Union Leaders in Lokoja

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Salifu Joel Oyibo has charged the Muslim faithfuls in Kogi State to maintain the Spirit of love, joy and harmony in this sacred month of Ramadan, saying that this administration is filled with love, caring and sympathy with commitment to upholding peace and tranquility in the State.

Comrade Joel Oyibo who gave the charge after the braking of fast of some Muslims and Union Leaders in his residence at Lokoja, admonished the Muslim community in Kogi State to keep praying for Kogi State and Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo, adding that this administration will not forget to remember the less fortunate in the State but continue to spread kindness and compassion towards them.

He affirmed that this month of Ramadan will bring us prosperity, spirit of fulfilment, noting that the month will illuminate our paths and lead us to righteousness and bring us closer to God.

In his remarks, Hon Seidu Amodu, a member representing Ofu Local Government Constituency, Kogi State House of Assembly, thanked the Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Oyibo for the gesture demonstrated to the Muslim community in the State, he assured that, Muslims will continue to pray to God for the success of this administration.

Among the dignitaries present in the event are, Hon Muhammed Nasiru Alfa, D.G. on Task Force for fired arms recovery, Hon Seidu Amodu, member representing Ofu Local Government Constituency, Kogi State House of Assembly, Comrade Yakubu Dauda, State NUT Chairman, Comrade Amari, State NLC Chairman, Sheikh Ibrahim Zekeri, Chief Imam of Maigeri palace, Mazid along other prominent Leaders and citizens of the State.
