In a bid to ensure clean and hygienic environment, the Administrator of Dekina Local Government Area, Honourable Kabiru Idris has inaugurated War Against Uncleanliness, WAU.
This step is sequel to the sensitization visit of a team from the Kogi State Sanitation and Waste Management Board led by the Director General, Mrs. Florence Joseph, as regards the upcoming Sanitation Exercise due to take place on the last Saturday of this month.
Kabiru called a meeting of all members of Dekina LGA Sanitation team, leaders from the health sector, sanitation
officers, leaders of Tippers Association and local government leadership where decisions were reached on how to put collective efforts in action to record huge success in the upcoming sanitation exercise.
Density of refuge was identified a big challenge in densely populated areas like Anyigba.
Everyone living within Dekina LGA are advised to take active part in the cleaning of their environments as there will be a house to house check to ensure compliance. Defaulters shall be prosecuted.
