A prominent political group in Dekina and Bassa local government areas known as the New Dawn Group has indicated its willingness to purchase Intent and Nomination forms of any party Hon. Sanni Idakwo Philips chooses to contest the upcoming 2019 Federal House of Representative elections.
Addressing newsmen yesterday after a meeting of the group, the Public Relations Officer of the group, Mr Silvanus Okpanachi stated that the aspirations of Sanni Idakwo Philips is “a blessing from God to the people of Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency who have suffered for long in the hands of dubious and crafty politicians.”
Describing Sanni Idakwo Philips as a man of integrity and kind-hearted, Okpanachi outlined the many achievements of the frontline aspirant.
He stated that it was Sanni Idakwo Philips who came to the rescue of teachers in Dekina and Bassa local government areas by providing them with interest free loans, through his ‘Interest-Free Cash Transfer Scheme’, where over 200 teachers from the Constituency benefited with amounts ranging from N15,000 to N20,000.
In his words; “it was the first in the history of the state as nobody, even the State government, has never attempted such a scheme before. Sanni Idakwo Philips have sponsored 5 youths from Dekina who now play professional football in China through his youth and sports empowerment scheme which he launched sometimes last year at the Kogi State University stadium, Anyigba. What about the widows? What about health services to the people? He has achieved so many things for his people, so numerous to mention”
While urging residents of Dekina / Bassa Federal Constituency to come out en masse and support the candidacy of Sanni Idakwo Philips on any party of his choice, an executive member of the group, Hon James Attai stated that “God has decided to dry the tears from the eyes of the people in Dekina / Bassa Federal Constituency by bringing Sanni Idakwo Philips; a man with tremendous experience in administration, both locally and internationally, and a captain in the ICT industry worldwide.”
The group further affirmed to support Sanni Idakwo Philips in his aspirations, come rain come shine until he is declared winner of the Dekina / Bassa Federal House of Representative seat in the green chambers irrespective of the party he wishes to contest come 2019 general elections.
