Dekina/Bassa 2019: Simon Atadoga Embarks on Consultations With Critical Stakeholders

Ahead of ‎2018 primaries for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a former member of Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Simon Atadoga has began consultations with the critical stakeholders in his bid to vie for Dekina/Bassa Federal House of Representatives seat.
A statement issued by the media office of the former lawmaker, Atadoga said his intention to vie for the coveted seat is borne out of a burning desire to serve.
He stated that his idea of joining the race to the green chamber is with a view to bridging the gap created by the dearth of qualitative representation.
The former lawmaker expressed confidence that the people of Dekina/Bassa will not renege on their ongoing encouragement and support that will enable him attract more dividends of democracy in the next dispensation.
Honourable Atadoga said his consultations has no bound as youths, market women, students and elites from the area will not be left out of the ongoing exercise to redeem the lost glory of the famous federal constituency.
He said his decision to embark on early consultations and sensitisation of his intention is to embrace spirit of sportsmanship, selfless service,‎ determination to serve and abhor needless political crises capable of overheating the polity.
The former stressed the need to improve on the current trend of representation, saying it is imperative for leaders’ actions to reflect the yearning and aspirations of the people.
He urged all PDP members to cooperate with one another and ensure that the spirit of give and take overrides personal interest of individual contestants and aspirants.
