The Senate President, Senator David Mark; Kogi State Deputy Governor, Architect Yomi Awoniyi; Chief Tony Anenih; wife of Benue State governor, Mrs. Dooshima Suswam, among other dignitaries, visited the governor yesterday in the hospital to commiserate with him.
Awoniyi had to cut short his Christmas holiday as soon as the news of the accident reached him in London. He went straight to see Wada in the hospital as soon as he landed at the airport yesterday.
Following the fast recovery rate of Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State to treatment at Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja, the governor may be discharged any time from now.
According to a source yesterday, “we are very positive that His Excellency will leave the hospital any moment from now.
“But the hospital would continue to monitor his full recovery and offer therapy even from the Government House to fast track his recovery.
“His recuperation rate has been very excellent, and of course we anticipate that he can function at his duty post, so there is no medical reason to unnecessarily keep him here.”
The source said the governor’s recovery rate was quite fast following his rapid recovery from the surgery carried out on his hip last Friday night.
