The Ebira Youth Development Forum in Okun land (EYDF) has called on Governor Yahaya Bello to consider the well-being of masses in Kabba-Bunu local government area as the 14-days lockdown begins.
In a statement issued by the Secretary General, Sunday Ahmed, on Wednesday, EYDF insisted that there are no cases of COVID-19 in Kabba and the people does not have to suffer over a non-existent virus.
The group appealed to Governor Bello to “tender justice with mercy” on the masses living in Kabba-Bunu local government area of Kogi state.
“There are no Covid-19 cases in Kabba town. Those illiterate spreading fake news of corona virus in Kabba, because of their selfish interest, do not live in the town.
“We understand the Governor’s efforts in defending the state since the outbreak of Covid-19 epidemic. Indeed, Covid-19 is a global pandemic but Kogi State remain free and would continue to remain free Insha Allah,” he said.
Ebira Youth Development Forum hailed Gov. Yahaya Bello for his confidence and sincerity in the face of verbal assaults from people who do not wish the state well.
The group prayed that God will continue to strengthen the Governor and “lockdown his enemies in the journey of running the affairs of the state.”
