COVID-19: KOMSA Commends Kogi Government

Kogi State Medical Students’ Association (KOMSA), has commended the Kogi state government for constituting a 29-man State Squadron to help ensure the prevention and containment of COVID-19 and Lassa fever in the state.

In a statement issued on Monday, The National President of KOMSA, Comrade Elukpo Jeremiah Wonchi, a 500level medical student of Bingham University Teaching Hospital, Jos, described the move by Governor Yahaya Bello as “being pro-active”.

Wonchi stated that KOMSA is totally ready to join force with our State Squadron under the chairmanship of the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja and the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Saka Haruna Audu, to help prevent and control both viruses.

He urged members of the public to adhere strictly to the various preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic especially by staying at home.
