The National Executive Council of Kogi State University Alumni Associations has condemned the ongoing social media trolls between students of the State University and Federal University Lokoja (FUL).
In a statement signed by the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Alumni Association, Prince Femi Akande, the trade of insults by undergraduates who are currently at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic is uncalled for.
“This to inform the general public, particularly undergraduates of KSU and FUL that the National Executive Council of KSU Alumni Association condemn in strong terms the trending insults going on in the social media.
“We enjoin students to use the current ‘Stay at Home’ period to stay safe and also pray against the spread of COVID-19, rather than using their energy to insult one another,” the statement said.
The Alumni Association charged the student to expend their energies on more productive ventures during the ‘Stay at Home’ period.
