Covid-19: Amb. Anthony Ogah Donates Wheel Chairs, Palliatives to Ibaji LGA

As dreaded Covid-19 pandamic takes negative toll on people across the country with reports of hunger biting hard, chairmanship aspirant Amb. Anthony Ogah has distributed 50 wheelchairs, palliatives to Ibaji Local government area of Kogi State.

Addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Lokoja, Amb Ogah said the gesture cuts across the 10 wards in Ibaji local government areas to help his people and those physically challenged during this global pandemic.

“This gesture was born out of my determination to lift the shackles of dependency of the physically challenged persons and my people in general that is why I ensured that every ward benefits from this.

“At a moment like this the government cannot do it alone however, charity begins at home and the onus is on the well meaning Kogites to reach out to their communities and having been a humanitarian for long, this is not new to me especially as a lover of growth and development. I also believe everyone deserves equal right thus the need to include the physically challenged persons in my community”, he said.

While applauding the state government under the leadership of His Excellency Yahaya Adoza Bello and the state Commissioner of Health, Dr. Saka Haruna for their pro-activeness and massive sensitization, he urged the citizens of the state to adhere to the warnings and precautionary measures stated.

Highlights of the occasion include sensitisations and enlightenments on the reality of the global pandemic that has killed thousands of people across the global and how it can be prevented.
