In preparation for council polls, Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has concluded plans to embark on a tour of the twenty one local government areas in the state.
This was made known to newsmen on Friday by the commission’s Chairman media and publicity, Alhaji Yakubu Musa Chogudo.
Chogudo disclose that the tour will enable members of the commission familiarize themselves with the terrain in the various parts of the state and help with the preparation for the conduct of the local government elections into the 21 local government councils in the state.
He assured electorate and all political parties that the commission will conduct free, fair and credible election, warning that KOSIEC will not tolerate any form of misconduct.
The Chairman of the KOSIEC, Hon. Mamman Nda Eri, appealed to the various Commissioners representing each federal constituency across the state to redouble their efforts in order to assist the commission in achieving its set objectives.
