As part of effort to rejig the security architecture of Okene local government, the Executive Chairman of the council, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad on Tuesday donated two operational vehicles to the state vigilante services, Okene command, to help fight crime and criminalities within the local government area.

At a brief ceremony in Okene, Engr. Abdulrazaq commended officers of the local security outfit for their effort so far in maintaining peace, crime prevention, intelligence gathering and other acts that compliment the work of other main stream security agencies.

He said the provision of the operational vehicles is part of government’s approach to boost the capacity of security agencies in maintaining peace and tranquility in Okene and its environs, noting that the latest effort comes after his administration had recently facilitated the provision of five motorcycles to the command through the state security trust fund.

The council chairman charged officers of the command not to relent but redouble their effort in securing lives and property.
