If a Nigerian Senator can propose a bill for Boko Haram insurgency Agency and also send the repentant Boko Haram members oversea to enjoy education, it is safe to say that there is the tendency that the Ministry of Health can give the citizens false information just to satisfy their unfilled stomach.

Nigerians woke on Friday morning, with the hope to read good news from the mainstream media, only for them to see the big and bold headline that reads “Nigeria Confirms First Case Of Coronavirus” a situation we have been avoiding, but the Ministry of  Health confirmed that someone has been tested positive of the disease in the nation and this news has thrown millions of Nigerians into confusion and panic.

According to the statement from Ministry of Health which reads in part “The Federal Ministry of Health  has confirmed a Coronavirus disease (CoVid-19) case in Lagos State, Nigeria. The case, which was confirmed on the 27th of February, 2020, is the first case to be reported in Nigeria since the beginning of the outbreak in China, in January.”

The statement continued, “the case in an Italian citizen who works in Nigeria and returned from Milan, Italy to Lagos, Nigeria on the 25th of February 2020. He was confirmed by the virology laboratory of Lagos University Teaching Hospital, part of the laboratory network of the Nigeria centre for disease control. The patient is clinically stable, with no serious symptoms, and is being managed at the infectious disease hospital in Tabs, Lagos.”

However, the Federal ministry of health has refused to disclose the name of the Coronavirus victim. The patient don’t have  name and he or she always identified as ‘Italian’. Does  that mean the Italian don’t have international passport number, so that Doctor can identify him while presenting their reports?

Also, what kind of business has he been doing before he left to Milan negative and returned positive, without thorough medical check at the Milan an Lagos International Airport?

It is obvious that the Federal Ministry of Health is much aware that there is the outbreak of the disease in Italy, and they allowed the Italian into the country since 25th of February to infect the innocent Nigerians  without doing anything good, until Friday 27th, when a 2-paged letter was put forward to  inform the Nigerian community and the world  at large, that one Italian has been tested  positive, without name nor business name.

There is no way you  are going to write a medical report about someone without indicating the  name and his/her business. I think, this is  another step to empty the nation’s treasury.

It is important to note that our leaders are always looking for one or two opportunities to empty the country’s account. Same thing is occurring in the security agency.

Despite billions of Naira been pumped into the fight against insurgency, the story still keep escalating. We should not be surprised that, very soon, the FG would carry a project worth billions of dollars in a bid to fight Coronavirus outbreak.

Mean while, over 80.000 cases  of Coronavirus have been recorded globally, out of which more than 33,000 people have recovered. So, there is no need to panic in that regard.

May Almighty God protect us against Coronavirus and all related deadly disease.
