Commissioner of Police Y. S. Abubakar of the Community Policing Unit, Department of Research and Planning, Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja has acknowledged Kogi-born scholar, Dr. Aminu Musa Audu’s passion for the security and safety of the country.
In a message of appreciation and credence sent to the scholar via LinkedIn, the Police chief commended the efforts of Liverpool-based Aminu on community policing research and scholarship.
He hailed the global recognitions Aminu’s research on community policing has gained over the time.
The letter reads: “Hello Dr Aminu, I am really impressed by the reviews on your Research Work on Community Policing. It’s very interesting to note that we have a young Nigerian that is not only so much interested in the security situation in the country but also has committed so much in that regard.”
Reacting to the commendation, Aminu assured the Nigeria Police Force and other agencies that the International Institute of Community Policing in Idah, Kogi State will collaborate with existing security platforms in the country for enhanced security.
“Indeed, this is one of the numerous accolades and commendations coming from scholars, organisations and policy makers, practitioners and peace and development-loving individuals and industry across the world.
“Whilst this credence is no doubt serving as enormous moral booster, I am pleased to put on record that as International Institute of Community Policing (IICOPOL) is at the take off stage, modalities shall be put in place for effective collaborations with the Nigerian Police Force and other sister security agencies and organisation in the country, African nations and globally,” he said..
