Community Policing: President Buhari Commends Kogi-born Scholar

President Muhammadu Buhari has commended Kogi-born scholar, Dr. Aminu Audu on the landmark launch of a book on community policing.

In a letter sent to Aminu through the Nigerian High Commission in London, the President acknowledged his invitation to attend the book launch.

Dr. Aminu Musa Audu’s new book, ‘Police Corruption and Community Policing in Nigeria: A Sociological Case Study’ is fast becoming a widely celebrated scholarly effort since he presented it to the global audience at Hilton Hotel, Liverpool City Centre, United Kingdom in October.

The book was written on the premise of ground-breaking Nigeria government funded doctoral research on the UK-DFID’S overseen community policing initiative in Nigeria conducted at the University of Liverpool UK.

Dr Audu is setting up an International Institute of Community Policing in Nigeria to take forward his book’s findings’.
