Commissioner Donates Laptop Computers to Kogi Polytechnic

The Kogi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Abdulsalam Ozigi Deedat, has matched words with action as he redeemed his pledge by presenting 10 new laptop computers to Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.

The Commissioner had during a courtesy visit to the Polytechnic on 31st August, 2021 promised to support the institution with the laptops to strengthen the institution’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) driven initiatives.

At the presentation of the laptops to the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman on Friday, Honourable Deedat said the gesture was part of his support to the ongoing reform of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello’s vision for the sustainability of education in the State.

Represented by his Technical Assistant, Mr Arome Alfa Adejoh, Hon. Deedat promised his continued support to education which he believed would encourage youths to have a meaningful way of life. 

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, who received the items, described Barrister Abdulsalam Ozigi Deedat as a trustworthy and distinguished personality, adding that the gesture was timely as the institution was willing to further boost its ICT capacity.

He thanked Barrister Ozigi Deedat for the gesture just as he promised that the laptops will be judiciously used to improve the ICT driven teaching, learning and Administration under his leadership.
