The Chief of Staff (COS) to the Kogi state Governor, Capt. Idris Wada, Nasir Yunusa  has said that those circulating governorship posters around the state capital and its environ suggesting that he was interested in the governorship race do not have his permission.

In a statement by the COS yesterday in Lokoja which was made available to journalists, he said at no time did he indicated interest or told anyone that he was interested in the governorship race.

He described the originators of the idea as wicked, callous and a calculated attempt to sow the seed of discord between him and his boss, whom he said shared very cordial working relationship.

He reiterated his commitment and loyalty to the governor saying that he was prepared to serve him now and in future, even as he noted that no amount of blackmail will distract him from discharging his responsibility as the chief of staff to the governor.

“I am contented with my present position. I am very loyal to my boss, I have not told anyone that I have any governorship ambition now and in future. My immediate concern is to see how I can support the vision of my boss in his quest to ensure a better kogi state and to solidly stand by him when the time comes for his re-election” he said

He however, advised those engaged in politics of pull him down syndrome to desist, noting that the progress of Kogi state is greater than the ambition of anyone.
