The Administrator of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon. Shiru Lawal has described the investment in child education as the bedrock for the prosperity of every nation.
The administrator made the declaration at Ansarul Local Government Education Authority (L.G.E.A) primary school Lokoja, while commissioning dual desks he donated to the school.
He explained that child education, if not properly harnessed, will lead to high rate of crime in the society.
“When I was informed of the deteriorating state of our classrooms in which our pupils are sitting on the bare floor to learn, I became worried, particularly when the school is situated within the state capital. I immediately directed that dual desks be constructed,” he explained.
He reiterates his commitment to the educational development of Lokoja Local Government Area, stating that Governor Yahaya Bello-led administration is keen on ensuring that education gets top priority attention it deserve despite obvious challenges. According to him, the administration of Governor Bello will build two blocks of class rooms in each ward of the state.
Earlier, the Principal of the Al-Ansar Secondary School, Mallam Yabagi Gimba, while welcoming the administrator, prayed Allah to grant him more wisdom in piloting the affairs of the Local Government to greater heights.
