Chief Omokore Donates N50m and Materials to Kogi Flood Victims

Businessman and frontline Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) leader in Kogi State, Bashorun Jide Omokore, on wednesday, donated N50 million and several truck load of rice to the state government to alleviate the suffering of those displaced by the recent flood in Kogi State.

Chief Jide Omokore said the donation is to aid in the rehabilitation of those displaced, commended the quick and prompt response mechanism of the Capt Idris Wada’s administration to the plight of those displaced.

The Business man who described the flood as a natural disaster, urged those affected to take solace in God and begin a process towards rebuilding their lives.

Omokore said he is proud of the Capt Wada’s administration in the State.

The Governor, Captain Idris Wada described Chief Jide Omokore as a leader the present administration will work closely with. He thanked him for the donation, assuring that the items donated will reach the people mostly affected.

Wada also assured that the donations received from relief fund will assist in the building of houses for those whose houses are closed to water line and will be relocated.
