As the countdown to the Kogi council polls begin, the Administrator of Okene Local Government Area, Hon. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has advised his supporters to campaign peacefully devoid of insults or personality attacks as it remain the only way he could impact positively on the society if elected.
The Council Administrator gave the advice at the event organised to celebrate the reelection of Gov. Yahaya Bello by his political support base, ‘TeamAbdulrazaq’ in Okene.
He reiterated his commitment to a peaceful society at all time, hence, his supporters must avoid anything both in words and in action that could heat up the polity and create tension in the area.
The Council boss assured the people of his desires to empower the women and youths as well as focus more on infrastructural development if elected as the next Executive Chairman of the Council.
He thanked his supporters for making him proud in the Presidential, National and State Assembly elections as well as the just concluded November 16 governorship election in the state where Okene Local Government came first.
“This wouldn’t have been possible without you,” he said.
Earlier in his address, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Domestic Matters, Alh. Kabiru Aliyu Onyene described Okene Administrator as a loyal patriot who has excel and performed creditably well in all areas of responsibility.
While thanking the organisers of the event, the Governor’s personal aide cautioned supporters to remain firm with their boss as he is sure the Administrator will not disappoint them when elected as the next Executive Chairman of Okene Local Government.
The influential politician use the opportunity to dispel rumour about the health status of his boss, the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello.
He assured the good people of Ebiraland to go about their normal business as the governor is hale and healthy. The negative rumour about the governor’s health is the hand work of enemies of the state and mischief makers who should not be taken serious.
The representative of Hon. Tijani Damisa (Member representing Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency), the Chairman of Elder Advisory Council, Alh. Yahaya Karaku, the Administrator of Okehi Local Government, Hon. Abdulraheem Ohiare and Party Executives were among dignitaries that graced the occasion.
