Kogi State government have confirmed that the Confluence Beach Hotel has been concessioned to Capital Boutique Nigeria Limited.
The Commissioner of Finance, Asiwaju Idris Asiru made this known in Lokoja on Thursday.
He stated that contrary to reports that Kogi State government has concluded plans to sell Confluence Beach Hotel, the state government has taken steps to revive the ailing hotel through private sector participation.

“Tourism is key to the socio-economic plan cum development of the state, hence, the allege outright sale of the hotel is false, misleading and baseless.
“We only concessioned Confluence Beach Hotel to Capital Boutique Nig. Ltd after going through a rigorous and unbiased bidding process. Unlike some other non-essential assets that would be disposed, the hotel is crucial and vital to our revenue drive.
“The MoU feature is for the company to operate the hotel for some years without government’s financial input, but provision of conducive environment like security and ease of operation. Also in the agreement, the accrued profit will be shared on agreed percentage between the company and Kogi State government,” he said.
