The interlocutory injunction against the appointment of Obaro of Kabba, Chief Solomon Owoniyi has been vacated.
The injunction, earlier granted by Justice M. M. Gwatana, was vacated on Monday by reasons of effluxion of time and record purposes.
Furthermore, the application brought by the Ilajo clan for extension of time was also refused.

A Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja had in its ruling granted an interlocutory injunction, restraining Chief Owoniyi from parading himself as the Obaro of Kabba.

It restrained Owoniyi from doing anything relating to the position pending the determination of the substantive motion on the matter.

The Ilajo Royal family had challenged Owoniyi’s appointment on the ground that he is not a member of the family.
