The Professor Pat Utomi-led Big Tent coalition of political parties and civil society groups has appointed a former Kogi governorship candidate, Comrade Sunday Bala Oma, and five others into its national expansion frontier directorate.
In a statement signed by Dr. Austin Nweze, Lead Director at Big Tent, the expansion directorate has been tasked with the responsibility of identifying states and geopolitical zones where Big Tent have not gained sufficient presence.
Nweze added that the directorate will also work towards reviving and strengthening all BigTent state, local government and ward chapters nationwide.
They will create sub-committee or adhoc teams to help the committee faster and effectively discharge its duties, and ultimately ensure Big Tent have active structure in all 774 local governments in Nigeria.
Ibrahim Abdulkarim was appointed National Director of the expansion frontier director while Prof Prosper Ayawei will serve as National Secretary and Deputy Director (South South).
Others were: Mustapha Kida, Deputy Director North East; Dr Fabian Ihekweme, Deputy Director South East; Dr Sunday Bala Oma, Deputy Director North Central and Kalil Ahmed, Deputy Director North West.
