Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Political Matters, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has congratulated his principal, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on his victory at the Supreme Court on Monday.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Omoluabi said it is a good day for all lovers of democracy in Nigeria and across the world, adding that the verdict of the eminent jurists of the Supreme Court is a masterstroke for the advancement of democratic ethos in the country.

He stated that the judiciary has remained critical in deepening the root of democracy in Nigeria, saying the judgment is a reaffirmation of the will of people of Kogi.

“The eminent Justices of the apex court have demonstrated courage and honour by re-affirming the decision of a vast majority of the people of Kogi through the ballots.

“They have put to an end the distractive legal tussle against Governor Bello who secured his mandate with unassuming margin against his rivals.

“This is the opening of a new vista in Governor Yahaya Bello’s visionary leadership focused at reversing years of locust that has pervaded the state.

“Accordingly, the aggressive urban renewable, economic revitalisation, massive job creation, rural electrification, Healthcare system renewal and numerous people-oriented programmes this administration has initiated will receive an intensive boom henceforth.

“I congratulate the good people of Kogi for their resilience and faith in their governor throughout this period of protracted legal tussle. Collectively we have won,” Omoluabi said.

He expressed gratitude to God for giving the Governor and his legal team wisdom to successfully defend the will of Kogi people.

He urged Kogites to continually offer support and prayers for the administration, expressing optimism that more gains await them.
