…Gov. Bello has done excellently well to deserve second term in office – Smart Adeyemi

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has admonished the people of Kogi West Senatorial District to  do the needful toward having qualitative representation in the national assembly, especially the senate chamber.

Bello gave the advice when Senator Smart Adeyemi paid him a courtesy call in his office yesterday in Lokoja.

The Governor expressed dissatisfaction at the poor quality of people representing the area and urged the people in the area.

Meanwhile, the immediate past Senator representing Kogi west senatorial district, Senator Smart Adeyemi has commended governor Yahaya Bello,saying he has done excellently well to deserve second term in office.

Adeyemi made this disclosure yesterday when he paid a courtesy visit to the governor at the government house. Lokoja.

According to him, the governor has able to give Lokoja a new look befitting  a state capital, provided maximum security of lives and property to the citizens and has built feeder roads in all the 21 local government areas of the state.

Adeyemi who said he decided to visit the state because, his successor Senator Dino Melaiye said he could no longer walk on the streets of Lokoja for fear of been stoned saying over 65 vehicles loaded with his supporters escorted him to the state capital while many were on the road side cheering him.

The former lawmaker, who said his coming to the state afforded him the opportunity to get first hand information about the achievements of the governor, however appealed to him to beef up in areas of salaries payment to civil servants.

Senator Adeyemi also expressed his readiness to work with the new direction policy of the state government in order to provide dividend of democracy to the citizens even as he pleaded with the governor not to be annoyed over the reckless statements of a National Assembly member who he said did not see anything good in his government.

Members of the state executive council took time  one after the other to explain their various achievements to the visiting All Progressive Congress stalwart.
