Bello Picks Nomination Forms, Assures Party Victory on November 16

Governor Yahaya Bello, on Wednesday, picked his gubernatorial intent and nomination forms for the forth coming All Progressive Congress (APC) primary election in Kogi State, stating that all other aspirants willing to contest are welcomed.

The governor, who stormed the All Progressive Congress secretariat in Abuja with a large crowd of party leaders and supporters, revealed that he was picking the form in order to fly the flag of the party eventually at the November 16 Kog state gubernatorial election

He stated that his administration inherited a divided state which, under his leadership, has become a one united entity.

Governor Bello revealed that in the coming days, his administration’s giant stride in infrastructural development will be affirmed as the state will host President Muhammadu Buhari to commission projects across the three senatorial districts of the state.

He promised that as the state goes into election, it would be peaceful and rancor free as his administration will ensure the safety of citizens and residents of the state before, during and after the process.

The Governor admonished his supporters to give other aspirants the opportunity to pick their forms as a way of encouraging them to participate in the exercise. He said such gesture he said will grow the party in numbers.

He reminded the APC National Working Committee members that the party under his leadership delivered Kogi State for President Muhammadu Buhari and 2 of the 3 senate seats, assuring that the third will also fall into place with a victory at the tribunal.

The Governor added that the party delivered 7 of the 9 House of Representatives seat to APC, giving assurances that the other two will as well be delivered.

He stated that the Party, during the State Assembly Election, restrategised and swept all the 25 State Assembly seats, a feat which has never been recorded in the State’s political history.

Governor Bello further revealed that other members of the party who were aggrieved has so far been reconciled and the APC in the State was a one big, indivisible family under his leadership.

He said that as against social media report, the Hadi Ametou group that were recently reconciled have withdrawn the case against the Abdullahi Bello leadership thereby ending all concern of divisions in the State Party.

Governor Bello affirmed authoritatively that the issue of court cases are dead in Kogi State APC and all party have resolved to work together for the party’s success in the coming elections.

He also promised that the conduct and process of the primary elections will be peaceful as every person would be given a level ground to participate.

The APC Deputy Chairman (South West), Hon. Niyi Adebayo presented the forms to the Governor amidst loud cheers from his supporters.
