Bello-Onoja: The Coordinators of Calamity

Save for the usual flaws, one would have no reason for this piece. At least, where there is a governor with listening ears, there is the governed with mutual mindset. From 2015 to 2019, whom APC introduced as the director of Kogi’s resources was not, and is not a listener. In short, he was imposed on Kogites by some self-centered elements in government, supported by some useful idiots who had for over time regretted their actions, and now made to flourish with the rampaging ruffians. Of course, 2015 was about a dead man’s mandate and 2019 was the decision made by guns in cahoot with INEC and a compromised lecturer.

No Kogi had ever  assented Yahaya Bello’s mandate. Yet, a voice of resistance that was so loud at the poll was truncated by bullets. And we now have helpless Kogites wallowing in uncertainties.

Yahaya Bello had successfully supervised calamities in Kogi state. He has coordinated inordinances within the last four years. Yet, the mood towards the build up to election was a clear-cut pretense. There is no adverse dynammies so far in play that may be affected soon. As a matter of fact, no one should expect anything good other than which pleases the enfant terrible, because, Plights of the vulnerable Kogites seconded his priority.

It’s been 70 days since the governor was rigged back to office with his gangsters still training at strategic positions. But he has gone hiding without minding the already perplexed Kogites. In fact, the already dumped deputy governor now carries out the governor’s duty.

Let me drop this hint for whoever cares. Though Edward Onoja has been successfully used to divide Kogi Easterners in the name of dislodging political ethnicisation, the dream of succeeding his boss thrives only in the figment of imagination. The three forces already militating are more formidable than the synergy Yahaya Bello is pretentiously creating between Edward and APC stalwarts. And while it’s a known fact that the majority remain divided till further notice, powerful forces that would eventually frustrate him had been inaugurated in the government he currently serve. That would be necessary as events unfold.

Few hours from now, the most traumatic administration would come to an end for another to begin, but with the same brain. Now the question in every lips has been; will Yahaya Bello review his previous decisions and actions? Will Kogites’ plight topple his insatiables this time or it is still business as usual where flourishing policies are those which favors Aso Rock

Let’s begin with his puerile approach to governance on security and social strata;Recalled that in January 2018, Yahaya Bello intentionally invited terrorists to Kogi state.

How did this happened?

A letter defrauding the natives of Ajaokuta/Adavi about 15000 hectares of land was written by the governor himself to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Abuja affirming that the state government had given out the land to Fulani Herdsmen.

Shockingly, neither were land owners consulted nor did government considered the overall security implications before embarking on such decisions, we just heard of a mouthing compensation on the National TV. Even the acclaimed meeting held in Lokoja barely had farmers in attendance yet, the governor’s speech was so impulsive coercing those present to succumb.

This was the genesis of an intensified killings in Kogi state. And from the murder of Mr Ariyo Aina (who had reported cattles’ destruction of his crop to the police up to 11 times before he was murdered) to Mr Godwin Egbunu who was recently killed right in front of policemen, Yahaya Bello was being hypocritical. He has been handling insecurity in Kogi state with utmost disdain but in conformity to the whims and caprices of ASO ROCK.

Even his wishy-washy statement urging the security agencies to fish out the bad eggs among herdsmen was hypnotized and ravaged in politicking. In short, I was appalled when the police claimed they were helpless because I knew they would be misconstrued by the general public. No one should take the police serious because they possess the physique to wipe out the terrorists from the surface of the earth. But because there is an existing conspiracy which begat an existing order of the highest authority, the police is helpless. What a deceitful utterance.

The police is helpless when it comes to the demons deployed by Governor Yahaya Bello to wipe out Kogites but it’s proactive in abating election rigs using helicopter. And a sane mind would want to suggest, why can’t the police channel the November 16 energy to curb the killers of our illustrious people?

I have since gone on research to see what value has milk production in Kogi state added to the economic revamp. Has the said milk factory even being established? Or better still, what revenue had the invitation of Fulani Herdsmen as well as their incorporation into government generated in Kogi state?

As at today, the perplexing question is, would Yahaya Bello withdraw an open invitation earlier given to Fulani Herdsmen who already had spilled so much blood? Would there be new cabinet members to pressurize my governor for the drastic measure so sacrosanct to the safety of Life and property. I leave you to draw your answers from the post election video clip release by the governor himself. Search for the video and watch.

Again, it would have been possible to forecast some changes in the new administration especially in the aforementioned and that of Civil servants’ renumeration. But available facts are still not enough. We have seen the 2020 budget of prosperity which stood at N176. 12 billion (as proclaimed by the ever dreaming Edward Onoja that would never wake up from the pyrrhic November 16 victory). Amazingly, this year’s budget is N53 billion higher than the state’s current external debt of over N123 billion NAIRA.

Until now, government is yet to tell us how it intends to fund the budget, even as we are ravaged in a deficit from the previous year. Apparently, I know they would resort into borrowing which will exuberate Kogi E.D. And by the end of 2020, the state ED would have gone beyond N200 billion. Has anyone seen the dangers ahead? Where are the useful idiots who abated Bello’s re-election? Tomorrow is pregnant, we will live to see what it gives birth to. But I tell you, those associated with darkness shall experience it in the fullness of time. Same goes to the lights. What goes around comes around.

Two things are happening in Kogi state tomorrow; a governor would be inaugurated and Kogites would be mourning the November 16 election casualties.

Rationally, as Bello/CEDO gets the staff of office for a successful electoral robbery on the 27 of January 2020, the killing of our loved ones including the PDP women leader burnt alive in Ochadamu becomes fresh in the mind of the ever grieving husband, kids, associates, well-wishers, the entire Ochadamu and by extension, Kogi state.

However, the division goes further. Of course, the useful idiots who abated his re-election would be eating and drinking to stupor while the like minds of our extraction who feel APC has committed the highest crime in the land against Kogites will remain in sober reflection. I wish us well.

God Bless Kogi state.
