Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu is currently leading a delegation from Kogi State to the 9th Nigerian Mining Week, taking place at Continental Hotel, Abuja.
This year theme for the exhibition is: “From inside out: Building the mining sector to be the cornerstone of Nigeria Economy.”
Delegates were welcome by Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr Henry Dele Alake and Minister of Science and Technology, Berth Nnaji who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Minister of Steel Development, Hon Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, and Minister for Defense were also in attendance.
During the exhibition session, Kogi state presented numerous God gifted natural resources in abundance which attracted the attention of the exhibitors.
The various exhibitors lauded the present administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo for his purposeful repositioning of the solid Minerals Sector, expressing their willingness to invest in the State.
Earlier, Engr Bashir Gegu emphasized Kogi State’s rich natural resources and the government’s commitment to creating an environment conducive to exploration and investment.
He reiterated that the Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources under his supervision is dedicated to engaging investors and relevant authorities to promote the growth of the solid minerals sector in Kogi State.
Bashir Gegu added that under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, the state government is committed to providing an environment conducive to exploration.
In the Kogi state team, is Engr Muhammad Omeiza Lawal, MD Kogi solid Minerals processing company Ltd and other technical persons.
