Kogi State Project Coordinator of Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto, has been described as a symbol of excellence, hard work, with sense of commitment to service to God and humanity in project execution.
Publisher of the Stewardship Global News Limited, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare made this known while presenting the ‘Most Distinguished Woman Personality of the Year’ award on the Kogi NEWMAP Project Coordinator in Lokoja on Tuesday.
Zacchaeus explained that the ‘Most Distinguished Woman Personality of the Year in Kogi State’ award won by Barr. Ladi was in recognition of her commitment, dedicated life of service to God and humanity.
He added that Barr. Ladi emerged top to win the 2021 Stewardship Global News Limited award amongst women chief executives, political appointees, heads of MDAs in Kogi State.
In her acceptance speech, Barr. Ladi said the award is another testimony of the great efforts made by Governor Yahaya Bello towards making life more meaningful and the society more habitable for the people.
She reiterated NEWMAP’s commitment to ensuring quality and standard in projects execution, adding that no effort would be compromised in ensuring that issues of erosion and making the environment safe for living are sustained by the agency.
The Project Coordinator lauded the zeal and passion of Gov. Bello in making the environment safe for Kogi citizens, affirming that NEWMAP’s milestone as noticed by Nigerians was made possible through deliberate and passionate love the Governor has for Kogites.
She reiterated NEWMAP’s unwavering commitment to uphold the GYB standard in project execution through transparency and in ensuring value for money.
Dedicating the award to Governor Yahaya Bello, the Project Coordinator said NEWMAP, in partnership with the World Bank and with relentless support from Kogi State Government who has been unwavering in the payment of her counterpart funds, has made interventions in several towns and communities towards controlling erosion and land reclamation.
She added that the agency has equally provided weather stations amongst other several other positive impacts in communities across the state.
