The Project Coordinator, Kogi State ACReSAL Project, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto (OON) on Monday congratulated the newly inaugurated Okene Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Nuhu Enesi and other Local Government Chairmen and their deputies in the state describing their election and subsequent inauguration as Executive Chairmen of their respective local governments as timely considering the important role of local government administration as the third tier of government.
In a congratulatory message issued in Lokoja, Barr. Ladi commended the people of the state for their peaceful conduct before, during and after the election and urged the new local government Chairmen to hit the ground running and bring dividends of democracy to grassroots with a view to compliment the wonderful work of the state government.
The ACReSAL boss hails the pragmatic leadership of the state Governor, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo noting that the governor ensure a level playing ground for all parties which eventually lead to the peaceful conduct of the local government election.
She also commended the state Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) for organizing a free, fair and hitch free election in the state. While soliciting for maxiimum support and cooperation of the people to enable the newly elected leaders perform optimally, Barr. Ladi urged the local government Chairmen to be magnanimous in victory as everyone irrespective of their political, religion and social affiliation are now under their care and protection.
