There was excitement across Kogi Central Senatorial District on Wednesday as the wife of the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State, Hajiya Ayisha Ali Bello, rolled out a mega empowerment outreach for women in the district.
The empowerment programme, held in Okene, witnessed a large turnout of women, political stakeholders, community leaders and beneficiaries who gathered to witness the distribution of cash gifts, industrial sewing machines, grinding machines, bags of rice and other support items aimed at improving the livelihoods of women.
The atmosphere at the venue was filled with joy and celebration as beneficiaries openly expressed gratitude for what many described as a life-changing intervention.

Speaking during the event, Hajiya Ayisha Ali Bello said the initiative was designed to support women economically, encourage self-reliance and reduce hardship among vulnerable families across the senatorial district.



She stressed the importance of empowering women, noting that women remain key contributors to the growth and stability of society.
According to her, the outreach forms part of her commitment to touching lives and creating opportunities for women to become financially independent through small-scale businesses and vocational activities. She also praised the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for sustaining the enabling environment for women empowerment and growth.
The philanthropist thanked her husband, Alhaji Ali Bello for his role in supporting her to reach out to more women in Kogi Central.
Beneficiaries praised the wife of the Chief of Staff for her generosity and concern for the welfare of ordinary people.
Some of the women described the gesture as timely, especially in the face of prevailing economic challenges, adding that the items received would help them expand their businesses and support their families.
