The thank you tour embarked upon by the Kogi State Governor has been described as a policy that brings the governor closer to people that are living in the grassroots.
Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi made the remarks in Ogori Magongo LG during the governor’s tour to the area.
The Deputy Governor said the visit which has so far enabled the governor to fully have a full grasp of what is best required by each area visited, he disclosed underscores the importance the present administration places on the well being of people living in Local Government Areas.
Awoniyi commended the Governor’s steadfastness in ensuring that despite the dwindling resources available to the state, his administration has been able to impact the lives of the people positively.
The Deputy Governor who described Capt Wada as a leader who is working to write his name in gold, said the State is blessed to have him govern the state in this period of the state’s life.
Awoniyi also commended the Chairman of Ogori Magongo LG for keying into the transformation agenda of Capt Idris Wada in the provision of infrastructures that have direct bearing on the lives of the people, said governance is a collective responsibility of all tiers of government,called on other councils to join in the task to offer good governance to the people by Capt Idris Wada.
While commending the people for also turning out in their large numbers to welcome the governor to a rousing welcome, urged the people to sustain their support for the administration as it would encourage and enable the Capt Idris Wada administration to do more for the people.
