Awoniyi Extol Virtues of Late Ejeh of Ankpa

Architect Yomi Awoniyi, immediate past former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, has expressed condolence to the family of the late Ejeh of Ankpa, HRH, Ahmodu Shaibu, the people of Ankpa, the Ankpa traditional council, the Kogi State Traditional council and the Government and people of Kogi State, on the death of Alhaji Ahmodu Shaibu.

In a statement issued on his behalf by Mike Abu in Lokoja, Awoniyi extolled the virtues of late Eje Ankpa, said he elevated traditional governance to an enviable heights, adding that his passion for traditional institution would no doubt endeared him to the hearts of many for long to come.

According him, his knowledge of community administration, his humility and his confidence, all combined to stand him out in traditional administration during his reign as the Ejeh of Ankpa, prayed God for the peaceful repose of the soul of the monarch, whom he described as revered among his contemporaries.

Recalling the nostalgic moments he shared with the monarch in his personal and official capacity, Awoniyi noted that the late monarch came through as a visionary who was focused and committed to the socio-economic advancement of his domain, Kogi state and Nigeria in general.

Awoniyi further recalled the wise counsel and the support that the late Royal father provided to the administration of Captain Idris Wada on various issues, particularly in maintaining peace and development in the state, urged his immediate, extended families, friends and well wishers to be console by the exemplary life of service the late Ejeh lived.

The former Deputy Governor prayed for the continued well-being of the Ejeh family, and for the peace, progress and prosperity of Ankpa and Kogi State.
