Kogi State Government has appointed Rev. Paul Audu as the new Accountant-General. Until his appointment, he was a Managing Partner, Audu-Umunnake and Co. Chartered Accountants and Tax Practitioners in Lagos.
Audu, 51, who hails from Egume in Dekina Local Government Area of the state, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, an investment/financial consultant, and a banker with more than 15 years experience.
The accountant-general is also the Vice-Chairman, Board of Trustees of Salem University, Lokoja.
A community leader and a senior pastor with the Foundation Faith Church, Salem Chapel, FESTAC Town Lagos, Audu graduated from the College of Education, Katsina-Ala [1978-1981]; Bayero University, Kano[1982-1985) with specialisation in Banking and Finance]; and the University of Ado-Ekiti [1997-1999) where he bagged his Masters degree in Business Administration with specialisation in Banking and Finance.
