‎The insinuation by the gubernatorial candidate of APC and his running mate, Prince Abubakar Audu and James Faleke respectively that the 20billion naira bond granted to the state government was diverted as a misplaced statement.

A media practitioner, Abubakar Yusuf dropped this condemnation in a chat with news men in Lokoja.

He said the historical Kabawa embankment, 500 housing unit in crusher and Ganaja villages, Otokiti bypass dual carriage way, Welcome to lokoja (from zango daji) to international market dual carriage way, remodelling of Kogi Hotels, Ultra Modern Lokoja Motor Park and Kogi Diagnostic and Imaging Centre at the specialist hospital are all bonded with the funds accessed from the capital market.

Yusuf condemned the aspirants and challenged their wisdom if they were truly administrators both at  state and local government level at one time or the other, and as an acclaimed ex-banker,they should be able to distinguish between funds that are bonded and loans from the financial institution.

He berated the APC aspirants to campaign on issues and image and not run down the welfarist administration of governor Wada, saying the idea of workers protesting on non assessment of bail out funds by the state government is their right and entitlement as they don’t need to be bribed to pursue their welfare.

The media practitioner accused Prince Audu and the APC government at the federal level for all attempt to frustrate the bail out fund due for Kogi, stating that no amount of efforts will deter governor Wada from returning to Lugard house.

He described the absence of President Mohammed Buhari, Vice president Yemi Osinbajo at yesterday’s Flag-off rally in Lokoja as a huge question mark against the ambition of the APC candidate, saying ‎it is a sign of rejection of his candidature because of corruption tendencies.

Yusuf advised Kogites to be patient, rallly round governor Wada’s ambition and re-elect him for more dividends of democracy.
